On 02 January 2010, as part of the 100th anniversary of Hua Hin Municipality celebration will take place tennis match between Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams. This event is being organised by the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand. A friendly tennis match will take place on a tennis court at the Hua Hin Centennial Park. It is expected that the match will be watched by estimated crowd of 4,000 people. After their singles match, Maria and Venus will combine with local stars Paradorn Srichaphan and Danai Udomchoke for a set of mixed doubles. This tennis event is expected boost Hua Hin's tourism. Tennis fans can buy tickets at Baht 1,500 from late November from the council offices across the main street from the post office. |
